      To son John Johnson, having a note in his hand of mine for 9 lbs. sterl, money being the balance of his father's estate for which I bequeath nine head of cattle to discharge the note; if sd. son shd. not agree to take cattle, that exs. shall sell cattle and dispose of sd. note.

      Prince George's County Court, Maryland Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore and so forth; to Messrs Thomas Morton, John Cox, Thomas Trueman and Levin Covington of PGCo Gentleman, whereas William Cooke, is seized of a tract called "Pennys Choice" and preferred his petition in writing to our county court held at Upper Marlborough Town on the 4th Tuesday in November in the 21th year of our Dominion and so forth for commission to examine evidence to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of the said tract of land. Therefore, we command you any three or two of you to examine all witnesses or persons concerned touching their knowledge of the bounds of the said tract.       By virtue of a commission to examine evidences to prove the bounds of "Pennys Choice" we intend to meet on Monday, March 9th next. Given our hands and seals, Thomas Morton, Thomas Trueman, Levin Covington
      Alexander Rawlings age 38 years or thereabouts deposeth that he came with his father Paul Rawlings about 13 or 14 years ago who showed him the place where a bound tree of William Cooke's land did formerly stand and said his father told him that his grandfather and William Cooke showed him this place on the west side of a hill about hundred yards from the head of a small branch that falls into the main north branch of Swanson's Creek and 5 or 7 strides from the hickory and further saith not.
      John Leach aged 32 years or thereabouts deposeth that John Rawlings showed him a chestnut stump about 4 years ago and told him it was a division between Robert Cooke, James Thomas and Paul Rawlings and further saith not. The aforesaid chestnut stump standing on the west side of a hill about 90 yards from the head of a small branch that leads into the main north branch of Swanson's Creek
      Richard Perrie aged 44 years or thereabouts deposeth that James Thomas about 8 years ago told him that he must not cut timber on the east side of a chestnut stump and if he did he would be cutting on Robert Cooke's land.
