      Indenture made 9th day October 1700 in the 12th year of the Reign of
      our Sovereign Lord King William .. Witnesseth that I WILLIAM BRENT of
      county Stafford of the one part and have let and set unto THOMAS ELLIS
      SENR. & MARY ELLIS & THOMAS ELLIS JUNR. all of said county for and during their natural lives and longest liver of them 300 acres of land part of a patent of land appurtaining to me William Brent lying on Potomack River the said 300 acres being the most southerdly part thereof and being to begin at a gut in a marsh binding DADE MASSEYS land .. southwest to the Back line of the Grand Dividend of which this 300 acres is part .. together with all privileges of hunting, hawking, fishing and fowling within said premises ,. to pay yearly if lawfully demanded the Quit rents of said land to the Lords of the Fee ..
