      Will of FRANCES NEWGENT.
      I FRANCES NEWGENT of parish of Brunswick and county of King George Spinster .. give and bequeath to my son THOMAS NEWGENT my bed; to my son EDWARD NEWGENT my negro man; to my daughter ANN NEWGENT my negro woman and one cow; all my household furniture with all my sheep to be equally divided between my son EDWARD and my daughter ANN NEWGENT .. bequeath my cattle to be equally divided between my son JAMES NELSON and my son in law THOMAS BALLARD .. appoint my son in law THOMAS BALLARD sole Executor .. this 26th day of March 1759.

      WILL OF EDWARD NEWGEN
      In the Name of God Amen. I Edward Newgen of King George County being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory :hanks be given to God for the same do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
      Item: I give and bequeath unto my two youngest sons Thomas & Edward Newgen all my land upon Tinpot Run in King George County, it being three hundred thirty & five acres to be equally divided etween them to them and their heirs forever.
      Item: I give and bequeath unto John Prim a brinded heifer and her increase.
      Item: I give unto my son in law James Nelson a young bay horse branded on the near shoulder & buttock with F. I.
      I also give to my said son in law one cow and calf and as for the rest of my estate it is my will and desire [is] that it shall be equally divided between my loving wife and my children.
      I do constitute and appoint my loving wife and my son in law James Nelson Executrix & Executor of this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 12th day of October Anno 1727.
