      Note:
      No.1. p.132 Pre-nuptial Agreement. 3rd April 1651. John Chew of the par and Co of York, Gent, "out of the singular love and affection that I beare unto Mistress Rachell Counstable whome I intend (by Gods grace) shortly to make my wife", makes over to George Ludlowe and Richard Lee Esqrs, for the use of said Rachell, 4 negro servants, a mare, the plantation "whereon I now live dureing her naturall life", excepting 100 acres being the plantation whereon John Smith lived. Also excepting a lease made to Francis Holland and another parcel of land sold to Robert Parr. If said Rachell depart this life before John Chew and without issue by him, this deed to be void.
