RE: Tecla Drury married Enoch Joy. Everyone has accepted it as fact with no evidence whatsoever--at least as far as I know.
And, the dates of the individuals involved do not work by any stretch. If someone has any evidence Tecla Drury married Enoch Joy--even circumstantial--please let me know. Frankly, I think it was Tecla (Thompson) Payne (daughter of Arthur Thompson) -as well as Widow of Thomas Payne who married (2) Enoch Joy.

      Answer from Wanda Taylor:
The marriage of "Tecla Drury " to Enoch Joy II is well documented (in Henry Payne lineage) found in "Remember the Drury Family" Vol. II - by Obrist & Dora & Drury
A secondary source is Donnelly's "Colonial Settler of St. Clements Bay (1634-1780). Tecla Joy's will dated 1796 names her "sister, Jane Drury" and grandson, Thomas Joy.
