      TO ALL XPIAN PEOPLE to whome these prsents shall come Know yee that I THOMAS [sic Henry] AUSTIN of the Parish of Farnham in the County of Rappa: being possessed with a Plantacon by right of my Wife, ANN, who was formerly the Relict of THOMAS DEANE deced and by him given to her in his last Will &Testamt. Now know yee that I the sd HENRY AUSTIN [also Ashton] with the consent of ANN my Wife and we both with one consent for the natural! love and affection wee beare MARY, the Wife of WM. BROKENBROUGH, who is my Wife's Neice do by these prsents give unto MARY the Wife of WM. BROKENBROUGH freely and volluntarily to her and her heires forever the aforesd plantacon withal! the Land thereunto belonging and will all rights and previledges & do oblige myselfe my heires to save and beare harmless the sd MARY BROKENBROUGH & her heires from any persons that may hereafter lawfully claiame any part thereof under me my heires paying the rents and services therein due and of right accustomed and further by reason of weekness of Deed I do oblige myselfe my heires that never hereafter shall by us or either of us being examining into the strength of this Deed, but it steal be settled upon the said MARY & her heires forever in as large and ample manner and purposes as can be express. In Witness where of wee have hereunto set our hands & seals this 8th of July 1684
