      14th March 641. BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH complaineth against Nathal. West in a plea of Debt... and for his assupsed for Daniel Richmond who stood indebted to him the said Plt 80 pds of Tobacco for a pair of Drawers sold him all which he refuseth to pay . . . and forasmuch as Nathaniel West hath absented himself out of this County so that the due process of Law could not be had against him therefore it is ordered that BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH the Plt came and prayed for an order against the Sheriff according to Act of Assembly and William Wilford came into Court and assumed payment of Three hundred and fifty pds of Tobacco out of the Debt..

      Page 115. Court held 14th November 932. Forasmuch as John Blundall brought his action in this Court against John Storey of this County and could not make appear any just cause therefore tis ordered that John Blundall shall be nonsuited and pay John Storey 50 pds of tobacco with costs. Whereas John Blundall did summons JOHN AND BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH of this County to this Court to give evidence of the Truth of what they knew in an action depending between him and John Storey in a plea of trespass and foreasmuch as JOHN and BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH did faile to appear to give in thier evidence and John Blundall was nonsuited by reason of their nonappearance Therefore tis ordered that JOHN & BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH shall be fined according to act of assembly and that each of them shall pay unto John Blundall 350 pds of Tobacco with costs. John Blundall complains against John Storey in a plea of Trespass for that John Storey by force and armes hath taken away the plts horse and from the time that he also tooke away the horse which was about a month ago since which time the said Storey hath buried rid and abused the horse by which at present he his rendered unfit for any service and hath detayned the horse out of the pts possession to his damage at least two thousand pds of tobacco . . And now foreasmuch as John Storey did appear prove and justifie that John Blundall stands indebted to him the sum of eleven hundred and ninety pds of Tobacco in cask Therefore tis ordered that John Blundall shall make present payment of the said sum unto John Storey and that the said Storey upon payment of the same deliver to Blundell his horse and that each party pay their own costs. Ordered John Blundall shall make payment of 80 pds of tobacco unto Richard Henwood for his attendance two days at Court in a suite depending between him and John Storey with Costs.
