      - GEORGE GLASCOCK and JOHN PHILLIPS, Processioners appointed for a Precinct of Northfarnham Parish having made return to this Court that WILLIAM DOWNEMAN now Tenant in possession of a tract of land belonging to RAWLEIGH TRAVERS of STAFFORD County, hath refused to lett the land be processioned according to Law. It is therefore ordered that the Sheriff of this County sumon a Jury of the most able and antient Freeholders of this County, inhabitants as near as may be to the land aforesd. lyable to no just exception by affinity consanguinity or interest to meet att the House of WILLIAM DOWNEMAN on the third Thursday of this instant March and being first sworne before Colo. SAMUELL PEACHEY or some other Justice of the Peace for this County, are ordered in company with WILLIAM THORNTON, Surveyor, to survey and lay out the land of RAWLEIGH TRAVERS according to the most knowne antient and reputed bounds of the Patent thereof having regard to all Patents thereof and Evidences that shall be offered to them relating thereto and make report of their proceedings therein to the next Court under their hands in writing

      PP- 459-461 This Indenture made 2nd January 1726 between RALEIGH TRAVERSE Gent. County of Stafford of one part & WILLIAM SIMPSON and TRIPHENA his wife .. of other part for diverse good causes but especially for yearly rents hath Leased unto William Simpson and Tryphena his wife .. being the Plantation whereon said Simpson now dwells on North side of Patomack Creek & is bounded .. beginning at lower end of Holland Point Marsh at a marked Seecamore .. running Westly up Potoniack Creek to marked red oak standing about the middle of CHARLES WOODS marsh .. Northerly along Ridge to Capt. PEARSONS CHURCH ROAD thence along the Church Road to Tobaccobed Swamp .. to ffirst beginning .. containing 200 acres unto them .. during the term of their natural lives or longest liver .. doth oblige themselves to pay yearly the just and full quantity of 750 pounds of good Tobacco in Cask upon the said Plantation the 2nd day of .January .. oblige themselves sometime before the end of three years to plant 100 apple trees at 24 foot distance between each tree & also to keep them in a goad tite fence and also to trim .. not to make no west of timber excepting what Tobacco hoggsheads contains the Tobacco made upon the said plantation ..       pp. 462-44 This Indenture made 10th April 1727 between RAWLEIGH TRAVERS Gent. County Stafford and JAMES SUDDATH of said .. for consideration of yearly Rents & other services hath Leased to ffarm letten unto James Suddath tenement of land in Stafford County in Overworton Parish the South side of Acakeek run and is bounded .. beginning on the said Acakeek run at the line of THOMS EAVES being formerly held by one Withers and extends up the said run to marked white oak butting against land of MARY WAUGH thence extending Southerly co the CHURCH ROAD down said Road Easterly to land of Withers to where Thomas Eaves now dwells thence Northerly along line of Withers to first beginning .. being by Estimation 150 acres more or less .. to hold during term of the natural lives of him the said James Sudath, ELIZABETH his wife and THOMPSON SUDATH Son to said James and Elizabeth or longest liver .. oblige himself to pay every year after the 25th December 1729 the sum of 536 pounds of Tobacco in Cask upon the Plantation .. the ffirst payment to become due 25th December 1730 .. within space of six years to plant 100 apple trees at 30 feet distance E. to keep them well ffenced & in good order .. make no waste of timber except for building fencing makeing Tobacco hogsheads to contain his crop of Tobacco ..
