THIS INDENTURE made this twentyeth : twenty first day of May 1723 Between EDWARD EVANS of ye pish of St. Marys in County of Essex & ANNE his Wife eldest & surviving Daughter of RICHARD KEMP of the Parish of Saint Ann within the County aforesaid deced & surviving Sister of RICHARD KEMP of the Parish of St. Ann within the County aforesaid deced of the one part & WILLIAM BROOKE of the Parish of Southfarnham in County of Essex of other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Evans & Anne his Wife in consideration of sum of Eighty pounds good & Lawfull money of great Brittain to them paid hath granted unto William Brooke (in his actual possession by Virtue of the Statute for Transferring uses into possession) all our right whatseover to all that tract of land & plantations whereon Richard Kemp Father to the aforesaid Anne in his life time dwelt being in Parish of St. Ann within the County of Essex aforesd containing 296 acres & eight perches; 150 acres part thereof purchased by said Richard Kemp from JOHN PAYNE & SUSANNA his Wife the remaindr 146 acres & 5 perches purchased by sd Richard Kemp of THOMAS SHORT of the aforesd County
