      Our Mary Marshall d 1740-1759 Westmoreland VA.
      She was the wife of John Piper 1695-1759.
      Children; Rachel, Jonathan, David, Ann, Wm, Mary and our ancestor Benjamin Piper.
      Son Jonathan Piper killed his cousin James Marshall 1751.
      Need to learn parents of this James Marshall to determine parents for our Mary (Marshall)Piper, who is said to be related to John & Humphrey of KY...(which John & Humphrey??) and also Thomas Marshall the father of Chief Justice.

      Virginia, ff.
      By the Hon. LEWIS BURWELL, Esq; President of His Majesty's Council, and Commander in Chief, of the Colony And Dominion of Virginia. To all Sheriffs, Constab'es, and other His Majesty's Lieg People, to whom these presents shall come. Greeting. WHEREAS it has been represented to me, That a horrible Murder was commited at Leeds Town, in the County of King George, on the 20th Day of January last past. by Jonahtan Piper, of the County of Westmoreland, on the Body of James Marshall, deceas'd of the same county: And whereas the said Johathan Piper, (unreadable) of his Crime, has fled from his usual place of Abode, whereb, the ordinary Proess at Law cannot be served on him: I DO therefore, In his Magsty's Name, require all Sheriffs, Undersherriffs, and Constables, to make dilligent Search within their respective Counties and Baliwicks for the said Jonathan Piper, and after having apprehended same to convey him to the publick Gaol at Williamsburg. And as an Encouragement for the apprehending the said Jonathan Piper. I hereby promise a Reward of Twenty Pounds to any Person that fhall apprehend him, fo that he be brought to justice. GIVEN under my Hand, and the Seal of the Colony, this 16th Day of April 1751.
