      Indenture made April 3, 1779; Rinaldo Johnson and Rebecca Johnson his wife in consideration of 700 pounds current money paid by Alexander Duvall has sold part of a tract called "Bealls Gift" containing 125 acres; originally surveyed for 500 acres, 250 acres of which is in the possession and use and occupation of Jeremiah Brashear and the other undivided moiety or 1/4 part being 125 acres.       Indenture made April 4, 1793; Whereas Rinaldo Johnson administrator of Rebecca Johnson to satisfy two judgments obtained in the General Court against Alexander Magruder heir at law of Alexander Howard Magruder, deceased, one for the sum of 500 pounds current money did sue forth a writ of Venditioni Exponas and the other for 333 pounds 6 shillings and 8 pence current money did sue forth a writ of fieri facias both directed to William Dent Beall, Esq., sheriff who by virtue of the writ of Venditioni Exponas did on the third Monday in September last expose to sale at Magruders Ferry, an undivided moiety or part of two tracts lying on the Patuxent River called "Cox Hayes" and "Taylors Marsh" containing 166 acres and at which sale Rinaldo Johnson became purchaser for 290 pounds 18 shillings and 9 pence current money as also "Cole Brooke" containing 70 acres and at which sale Rinaldo Johnson became purchaser for 45 pounds 10 shillings current money; and at the same time the sheriff in virtue of the writ of fieri facias did expose to sale a tract called "Cox Hayes" known by the name of "Cox Hayes Enlarged" containing 140 acres and at which sale Rinaldo Johnson became purchaser for 245 pounds current money. Now this indenture witnesseth that William Dent Beall, sheriff in consideration of 581 pounds 18 shillings and 9 pence current money paid by Rinaldo Johnson has sold the aforesaid four tracts.
