  • Notes
    • In his will of 06 Jun 1704, proved 26 July 1704, he was called " Joshua HUDSON of Upper Machoteck". The marriage record is derived from a 1674 deed from Wm RUSH to Joshua HUDSON in which Wm Rush gives property to daughter Elizabeth for her marriage to Joshua Hudson. In the book WESTMORELAND CO. VA RECORDS 1661-64, a list of jurors includes: William RUSH & John HUDSON on pp 41-2. Later, in the same volume, p. 20, 30 Joseph Hudson, p 80 Joshua HUDSON (pg 61, 29 Nov 1699) named to help divide lands of the dec'd "late of this country."

You gotta wonder if this could be the parents of William Gilleaspie that married Frances Marshall. I believe this Anne Hudson to be the daughter of Joshua Hudson who was the son of Rush Hudson who was the son of Joshua Hudson and Elizabeth Rush.
