      will notes from Ann:

1 -The John Hawkins, Jr. may be John Hawkins (d. bef 1772) s/o John Hawkins & Elizabeth Marshall. He married Elizabeth Stone (her background unknown) and they had a son, John Hawkins who died in 1757
2 -Thomas, s/o John Hawkins and Elizabeth Marshall, married Sarah Middleton, They had a son, John, who was under 21 at the time of his mother's will ,May 20, 1747, and was to be under the care of Samuel Hanson.
3 - The account of John Beale, Charles Co, Dec. 6, 1753, Jan 25, 1754; NOK Samuel Hawkins and Elizabeth Hawkins, admx. Mary Beale. (I&A 57.107) (Samuel and Elizabeth Hawkins were the issue of Henry Holland Hawkins and his first unknown wife. His second wife was Joan Greenfield. Elizabeth, d/o Henry Holland was m. to Waring by the time of this account, 1753)

Is it possible that Katherine Hebden and William Marshall had a daughter who would have been the sister of Elizabeth Marshall who m. John Hawkins I.? Wm Marshall's will, 1673, mentions only the daughter, Elizabeth. Johanna's first husband, Francis Crumpson, died in 1718.
