Aug 27, 1766 from Joseph Hagan, son of Ignatius, of CC, planter, to Benjamin Hagan of CC, planter, the lease to sd Benjamin Hagan of part of a tract of land called the Good intent, now in the possession of sd Joseph Hagan, & by the courses as it was left to him by his father.       Indenture made June 12, 1784; Joseph Hagan, planter of PGCo in consideration of one Negro girl from 16 to 20 years of age to be delivered by Philip Selby, school master of Frederick County, Maryland as also in consideration of the rents and covenants hereafter mentioned has demised and to farm let unto him part of a tract called "Sim's Delight" containing 50 acres and lying on the north side of the dwelling house where the said Joseph Hagan now lives in PGCo and beginning at James Hamilton's beginning stone standing near the Spring Branch and bounded by Patrick Sim's line and the main road leading from St. Paul's Chapel towards Upper Marlborough. To have and to hold for the term of 56 years commencing January 1st next paying yearly the public tax or assessment and one ear of Indian corn on December 25th if demanded.       Maryland Charles County Sct. This Indenture made this fifth day of October one thousand eight hundred and one Between Joseph Hagan and Nicholas Miles of the County and State afsd of the one part and Richard Edelin John Francis Gardiner John Johnson Henry Gardiner and Marsham Bowling trustees of the Society of Roman Catholicks worshipping at the Church of St Mary in the vicinity of Bryan town Charles County elected and incorporated under the afsd title and title by and act of the assembly of Maryland passed in November session 1796 for the purpose mentioned in sd act of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joseph Hagan and Nicholas Miles for and in Consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds Current money of Maryland to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery thereof the receipt and payment of which the sd Joseph Hagan and Nicholas Miles doe hereby acknowledge and the sd Richard Edelen John Francis Gardiner John Johnson Henry Gardiner and Marsham Bowling trustees afsd of the Church of St Mary and their successors the trustees of the sd Church Annully elected agreeably to the afsd act of Assembly for the purpose contained in the sd act of Assembly forever by these presents do acquit and discharge therefrom Have given granted bargained sold aline and enfeoffed transferred confirmed and made over and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff transfer confirm and make overt unto the sd Richard Edelen John Francis Gardiner John Johnson Henry Gardiner and Marsham Bowling trustees afds and their successors the trustees of the Church of St Mary forever part of a tract of land called Boarmans Manor lying and being in Charles County and bounded as follows [land bounds not given here, see deed smoller]
