Whereas James Hagain, son of Ignatius of CC, planter, was indebted to me in the sum of 4623 lbs of crop tobacco, and for the security for the payment thereof, Richard Wheeler, Thomas Hagan, and William Hagan of CC, planters, by their bond dated Jun 19, 1759, became bound jointly and severally to me in the sum of 9326 lbs of crop tobacco, conditioned for the payment of 4623 lbs of tobacco, and which bond I put in suit in CC Court and obtained judgment thereon against them in Mar Court, 1762. Now in consideration that sd Richard Wheeler has fully paid sd sum of 4663 [sic] lbs of crop tobacco together with all interest due thereon and the costs of the sd suit except 928 lbs of crop tobacco paid me by sd James Hagan himself and 332 lbs of crop tobacco paid me in part by sd Thomas Hagan, I have assigned and made over to sd Richard Wheeler, the sd judgment and the sums thereby adjudged me, excepting the sums paid me in part, as afd, with full power to sd Richard Wheeler to sue out execution thereon against the sd Thomas Hagan and William Hagan. Signed May 19, 1764 - Sam Hanson. Wit - John Hawkins, James Key_ Recorded Aug 2, 1764.
