Jun 11, 1767 from John McPherson of CC, planter, & Sarah, his wife, to James Brown, Mercht, Prince Georges County, for 3000 This of crop tobacco, all that third part of 2 tracts of land, the one called Martins supply, containing 55 acres, the other called Martins Triangle, containing 60 acres which formerly belonged to John Martin & by him conveyed to Jacob Millar, formerly the husband of sd Sarah, by deed dated Mar 30, 1734, and recorded in CC on Apr 25 thereafter, and which third part was assigned and laid out to sd Sarah, the then widow of sd Millar, for her dower or thirds of the 2 tracts afd, both lying in CC. Jun 20, 1767 from John McPherson of CC, planter, and Sarah, his wife, which sd Sarah was the widow of John Millar, the son of Jacob, but since the death of sd John Millar, intermarried with sd John McPherson, to James Brown of Prince Georges County, Merchant, for 1200 lbs of tobacco, one third part of 2 tracts of land purchased by sd John Millar from Samuel Perrie and Margaret, his wife, by deed dated Mar 1, 1742, one of the tracts being part of a tract of land called Daniels mount, containing about 30 acres, the other of sd tracts being part of a tract of land called Johnstons retirement. The 3rd part of the sd 2 parcels was laid off to sd John & Sarah, his wife, as the dower thirds of her, the sd [blank] of and in sd 2 parcels by John Millar, the son and heir of sd John decd. Mar 15, 1770 from James Brown of Prince Georges County, merchant, to John Miller of CC, planter, for 10 10 shillings, and for divers other causes, all his claim to one third part of the 4 following tracts of land, which he holds by virtue of a conveyance from John McPherson and his wife, Sarah, during Sarah's natural life, 4 tracts lying in CC, one called Martins Supply, containing 65 acres; the 2nd called Martins Triangle, containing 60 acres; the 3rd is part of Daniels mount, containing 30 acres; the 4th is part of a tract of land called Johnsons Retirement, to be hold of Zachia Manor.       At the request of Samuel Chapman the following Deed was recorded December 1, 1805
      Indenture made and entered November 29, 1805; Josias Miller of Prince William County, Virginia in consideration of $100 paid by Samuel Chapman of CC has sold all the right title interest claim and demand which he hath to a certain tract of land situated in CC which John Miller father to the said Josias Miller died seized and possessed of. Signed Josias Miller, in the presence of Phil. Devix Dawe, John Williams, William Morris.
      At the foot of the aforegoing deed is thus written to wit,
      Virginia, Prince William County to wit, be it remembered that Josias Miller on November 29, 1805 came before us Alexander Bruce and David Boyle two of the justices of peace in the aforesaid County and acknowledged this deed to Samuel Chapman to be his act and deed and the land and premises thereby conveyed to be the right title property of the said Chapman. Given under our hands and seals this November 29, 1805. Signed Alexander Bruce, David Gordon.
