      Bill Of Sale Between Meverell Moran and Elizabeth, Charles and Catherine Lyon
      Recorded July 23rd 1800 in Charles County, Maryland
      At the request of Meveral Moran the following bill of sale was recorded this
      23rd day of July Anno Domini 1800 -
      Know all men by these presents that Elizabeth Lyon and Charles Lyon and Catherine Lyon of Charles County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of eighty-five pounds current money to me in hand paid by Meveral Moran of Charles County have bargained and sold and by the these presents a bargain and sell unto him the said Meveral Moran certain Negroes called Beck about thiry-four years of age, Rousbe about seven years of age To Have and To Hold the said Negroes unto said Meveral Moran forever and we the said Elizabeth Lyon and Charles Lyon and Catherine Lyon our heirs executors and administrators the said Negroes before bargained and sold to him the said Meveral Moran his heirs executors and administrators and assigns against all manner of persons we warrant and defend by these presents against witness whereof we have set our hand and seal the seventh day of July one thousand and eight hundred.

      I, Mary Moran of CC being in a low state of health but of perfect mind and memory
      To son Andrew Moran, twenty five pounds current money.
      To son Zachariah Moran, twenty five pounds current money, bed, blanket and sheet, one white dish with a blue edge, and a blue flowered punch bowl and the use of a sorrel mare two years.
      To daughter Mary Cartwright, one white pitcher, one tea pot and half dozen tea cups and saucers, two bowls, half dozen stone plates, one white stone dish, and after two years the sorrel mare.
      To son Robert Moran, fifteen pounds current money and one spotted trunk.
      To grandson, William Andrew Cartwright, all the feathers in the house not in beds.
