  George Dent Alexander died without issue. === Fairfax Co Va Wills Liber E, pp. 150-151 I GEORGE ALEXANDER of Fairfax County do make this my last will and Testament. Imprimis I give all my land and negroes to my Mother during her life and as to the rest of my personal estate I divide equally between my two brothers ROBERT and PHILLIP that is my horses, stock etc. and as to my land after my Mothers death I do give to my brothers Robert and Philip the whole land to them to be equally divided between them. I do particularly give the mare called CATE WILKES & the colt mare with her to my brother Robert the said colt is called Fearnought. I desire that Sam be set free & that fifty pounds be given him for reasons known to myself I decline giving any part of my estate to my Brother Gerard. I also give unto GEORGE WARNER LEWIS the negro boy called Gerard a weaver also to BETSY LEWIS a girl called Nancy also to AUSTIN LEWIS a negro boy called Milton. In Witness whereof .. this 16th of September 1777. I also appoint my brothers Robert & Philip Executors. Presence Willm. Grayson, George Alexander A. C. Hanson, David Rose Junr. NB I have eras'd Philip & inserted Robert as to the mare & colt. Test Thos. Alexander Geo: D. Alexander June 24th 1778 I also desire my brothers to give a Negro girl equal to either of those given above to my sister MARYAN NOBLE'S child. Test Thos. Alexander Geo: D. Alexander June 24th 1778 At Court contd & held 18th May 1784 This will was proved by oath of William Grayson and at a Court contd & held 19th July 1786 Robert Alexander one of the Executors therein named made oath thereto and on his motion certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration with the will annexed in due form
