      Stafford Count Will Book M Page 172, an abstract of which reads:

      Will of Dade Massey, of Stafford County, dated 16 April 1735.
      Bequests to my son Robert Massey;
      To my son Thomas Massy;
      to my son Sigismund Massey.
      To my daughter, Mary Washington wife to John Washington."
      To my Daughter Anne Massey. [She married Francis Wright, grandson of Anne (Washington) Wright, daughter of Col. John Washington of Bridges Creek].
      To my daughter Frances Massey;
      To my daughter Beheathland Massey.
      This Will was proved on 13 May 1735.
      The testator's son, Dade Massey Junior, predeceased his father, and left a will dated 2 February, 1734, proved 11 March 1734.

      p. 169 In Name of God Amen I DADE MASSEY JUNR: of County of Stafford being sick though of perfect mind ,, do make this to he my Last Will and Testament.
      Principally .. Soul unto hands of God and body to earth. Item l give to my Son LEE MASSEY all my land where now live which is called by the name of MATTOMKIN and also 100 acres of land more upon the river I give to him ad-joining to the place called Goings gutt, which is part of a tract of Land l had of my father in Law ROBERT ALEXANDER which I give to him and heirs for-ever. item I give if my wife be with child with a Son the remainder part of the said Land it being 300 acres to him and heirs. Item I give all the Remainder part of my Estate both personal and real after my just debts are con-tented and paid dnd after my wifes part which the Law allows her be taken out I give to my on Lee Massey and if my Wife should be child with a Son or a Daughter to be equally divided between them the said Lee and that child. Item my will is that in case my wife should marrie before my Son Lee Massy comes of age that my mother in Law ANN ALEXANDER keep him untill he comes of the age of 16 years and if in case she should die before that time then my Exes: hereafter mentioned take him and his Estate and keep him until he comes and be of the age of one and twenty years. Item I constitute and appoint my Loving Brother ROBERT MASSEY to be my whole and sole Executor ., thin Second day of February 1734.

      29 Sep 1734- The will of CHARLES ELLIS,{ Jr} of Stafford County, being sick, but of perfect memory, do make this my last will and testament.
      I give unto my God-son Rice Hooe, the son of John Hooe, my negro boy George, to him and his heirs.
      I give to Leigh Massey, my God-son, the son of Dade Massey, Jr. my negro woman Sarah and her increase to him and heirs.
      Item, I give unto John Alsop my chest and all my wearing clothes.
      I give unto Elizabeth Massey my sister, my feather bed and furniture and one cow and calf, the best I have.
      My will is that after my just debts and funeral expenses be paid that the remaining part of my estate be equally divided between Richard Todd's three children that he had by my sister Lucy.
      I do appoint John Hooe executor of this my will.
      It is signed by Charles Ellis in the presence of Dade Massey and Robert Massey, and was presented into court and probated on 12 November 1734.
