      Apr 28, 1724 from George Plater of the City of Annapolis, gent, to Barton Smoot of CC, planter, for 75 and for divers other good causes, all that moiety of a dividend tract of land called Popes, whereon Jno Pope forme'rly dwelt, situated on Potomack River at the mouth of Bakers Cr in CC, which, as divided, is bounded by the east line near a corner road, a locust post standing upon the Clift near the riverside, containing about 200 acres.
