      1, Charles Blanford of CC, am sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory.
      To my son Thomas Blanford 100 acres, being part of a tract of land called Ruden, to be laid off for him where he now dwells, except 1/2 acre which I give to my sister, Marget Hagan, where she now dwells, during her life, then to my son Thomas Blanford,
      To my sons Richard & Edward Blanford - the rest of a tract of land called Ruden, to be equally divided between them.
      To my son Richard Blanford - 1 2-year-old colt & 1 2-yearold heifer and 1 young sow.

If Mary Mudd dies without issue, then her husband, Bennet Mudd, is to remain in possession of sd land during his natural life; after that the land is to devolve to my heirs at law. Oct 16, 1773 from Charles Blandford and Thomas Blandford of CC, planters, to Thomas Contee and Fielder Bowie of Prince Georges County, merchants, for 231 18 shillings and 8 pence, a tract of land called Roden, lying on the west side of Patuxent River in CC in the woods, bounded by the fork of Zachiah Branch near a bounded Spanish oak of a parcel of land formerly surveyed for durdun, the main branch side of Zachiah, containing about 220 acres. Also, the 5 Negro slaves following, to wit, Judah, a girl, Harry, a boy, Toney, a man, Sarah, a woman, and Jenny, a woman. If, however, sd Charles and Thomas Blandford pay sd Contee and Bowie the afd sum with legal interest from today, by Oct 16, 1778, then this deed shall be void.
