  • Notes
    • Colonial Settlers of St. Clement's Bay by Mary Louise Donnelly who claims that William Hayden m. Anna Snowden Roswell. Not true.

5/27/1695 and 7/3/1695: Admin. accts. of William Roswell. Appraisers: Joshua Guibert and John Dash (Daft); Exec., Anna Roswell (Skinner).

Husband's accts. 8/2/1696, Exec., Anna Roswell by Mr. Turner; his accts., 5/1697 by Anne Roswell (Skinner).

5/21/1702: Admin. accts. of Thomas Cissell, SMC. Payments to (among others): Mrs. Anna Roswell.

There's nothing in John Snowden's accounts to indicate he had a daughter. His wife was Jane who married second, John Skipper. John Skipper administered the estate of John Snowden. Notes for John Skipper:

3/26/1694: Jane Skipper, Admx. of John Skipper paid a legacy from the estate of John Skipper which was due from the estate of Jane's previous husband (John Snowden) to the Widow Roswell, Michael Curtis, and the children of the former husband of the accountant, Jane Skipper.

So, basically that's all there is to even indicate that Anna was a daughter of John Snowden and Jane. I don't think it's enough proof, actually.
