      1 Mar 1714; Grant to Edward Philpot who petitioned that James Walker, late of Maryland, was granted a tract of 200 acres; of which he sold 100 acres to Edward Swann who conveyed the land to William Ward who died without heirs; Edward Philpot obtained 27 acres of the land; on back of the deed: Daniel Dulany on the behalf of Edward Philpot, dec'd, contracted to purchase 27 acres and the land of John Bradsher alias Brachere which was seized of forfeiture by his conviction of "murther" [due to the wording of this document, the meaning is unclear]
