I, John Hopewell of CC, planter, for 2400 lbs of tobacco by John Theobalds of CC, have sold to sd John Theobalds 4 feather beds, 8 cattle (viz) 3 cows and 2 calves, 2 heifers and 1 bull yearling. If, however, John Hopewell shall indemnify John Theobalds of and concerning his, the sd Theobalds' becoming special bail for the afd John Hopewell in an action bought by Robert Chrystie against the sd Hopewell, and now depending in sd County Court, that then the afd deed of sale to be void.
