To have and to hold for the term of 31 years from the 25th day of December last yielding and paying every year the sum of 20 shillings sterling money of Great Britain unto Elizabeth Wheeler or to her son Clement Wheeler.       Indenture made September 11, 1769; between Edward Edelen, Jr., son and heir at law and also executor of the last will and testament of James Edelen of one part and George Hardy, Jr. of Piscattaway of the other part. Witnessed that whereas James Edelen and George Hardy, Jr. were possessed of a grist mill in partnership near Piscattaway in the said James Edelen having by his last will and testament devised his 1/2 part or moiety of the mill and land to be sold. This indenture therefore further witnesseth that Edward Edelen, Jr. in consideration of 140 pounds current money paid by George Hardy, Jr. has sold his moiety or part of the mill and land aforesaid beginning at "Middletons Lott" (now in possession of Elizabeth Wheeler) at the bank of a stony point on the north side of Piscattaway Main Run containing 850 square perches.
