FRANCIS HAMMERSLY of this County was attached to answer WILLIAM DENT of the Province of Maryland in a plea of debt that whereas the said HAMMERSLY stands indebted to the Plt aforesd by bill obligatory under his hand and Seale for the sum of seven thousand six hundred and eighty pounds of Tobacco bearing date the 26th of February Anno 1688 and refuses Payment though often thereto demanded wherefore the Plt by George Mason and MATHEW THOMPSON his attorneys hath brought his action against the said Francis Hammersley and Craves Judgment .. And the said Francis Hammersley the deft came into Court and confessed Judgment to the said William Dent for the sum of four thousand and Twenty six pounds of Tobacco Therefore tis ordered that Francis Hammersley shall make present payment of the said sum .. of Tobacco unto the said William Dent being in full the Ballance of all accounts between
