Nath Gordon, formerly of Lancaster but now of Orange County, says the estate at the peace and for some time before was not worth a farthing. The estate of Col . James Gordon , father of Nath,, lost upwards of £1000 by the insolvency of John Gordon's estate. John Gordon died in 1778. His executor James Gordon said the estate was insolvent in consequence of having received the amount of the sales of what property there was in paper money.
