      In the Name of God Amen. I ROBERT MEDLEY of the County of Culpeper being sick and weak but in perfect sense and memory, I make this my last Will and Testament .. Imprimis I give my Soul to God that gave it me and my body to the Earth to be buried .. and my worldly Estate I give as followeth.
      Item I give to my beloved Cousin AMBROSE MEDLEY Son to JACOB MEDLEY my Manner Plantation with two hundred acres of land . and in case the said Ambrose Medley should die without issue that then the said land and Plantation shall fall to REUBEN MEDLEY son to the said Jacob Medley .. and in case the said Reuben Medley should die without issue that then the said land and Plantation shall fall to my Beloved Brother Jacob Medley.
      Item I give to my Brother in Law REUBEN SHELTON two hundred acres of land adjoyning to my Plantation during his life and after his decease to fall to his Eldest son THOMAS SHELTON ..
      Item I give to my Honoured Mother ELLINOR MEDLEY five pounds cash if she be living and if she be dead that then the said five pounds to fall to THOMAS HUNDLEY for the educating of his Children.
      Item I give to my beloved Brother JAMES MEDLEY my riding mare.
      Item I give to my beloved Brother ISAAC MEDLEY Fifteen pounds cash.
      Item I give to my Brother in Law MAY BURTON Fifteen pounds cash and after his decease to fall to his Son MAY BURTON JUNR. ..
      Item I give to my beloved Brother JOHN MEDLEY Ten pounds cash and in case my said Brother John Medley should die that then the said Ten pounds shall fall to his son JOHN MEDLEY JUNR...
      Item I give to my Cousin SUSANNA MEDLEY Fifteen pounds cash but in case the said Susannah Medley should die without issue that then the said Fifteen pounds to fall to her Sister ELIZABETH MEDLEY, and if the said Elizabeth Medley should die without issue then the said Fifteen pounds to fall to her Sister ELLINOR MEDLEY ..
      Item I give to my Brother Jacob Medley Ten pounds Cash .. And all the remainder of my Estate to be sold and equally divided among all my friends above mentioned. Lastly I appoint my beloved Brothers John Medley and Jacob Medley Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof .. this Ninth day of August 1759.

      At a Court held for County of Culpeper on Thursday the 20th day of September 1759
      This last Will and Testament of Robert Medley deceased was exhibited to the Court by John Medley & Jacob Medley the Executors therein named & was proved by the oaths of .. witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded which being sworn to by the sd Exors. on their motion Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probat thereof giving Bond and Security according to Law.
