      - PET: FLYNT's Comm. of Admon. of KNOTT's Estate
      On the Petition of PETER FLYNT, who marryed MARY, the Relict of Mr. JOHN KNOTT, deceased, a Commission of Administration is granted the said FLYNT in the right of his Wife of the Estate of the said KNOTT he giveing good caution according to Law
      - The Bond PETER FLYNT, RICHARD FLYNT and JAMES JOHNSON doe oblige themselves in Court joyntly and severally in the penall sume of thirty thousand pounds of good tobacco and cask to the Justices of the Peace for this County, that the said PETER FLYNT shall duly administer on the Estate of JOHN KNOTT, deceased, and exhibit an Inventory thereof according to Law
      - Appraysers appoynted WILLIAM BASHAW, HENRY DAWSON, WILLIAM DAWSON and JOHN OLDAM are by this Court ordered to apprayse the Estate of JOHN KNOTT, deceased, being sworne by the next Justice of the Peace

      CHURCHILL agt FLYNT Whereas it appeares to this Court that PETER FLYNT, Administrator of JOHN KNOTT, deceased, standeth indebted unto SAMUELL CHURCHILL two hundred pounds of tobacco and cask for making a Coffin for the said KNOTT, Judgment is granted SAMUELL CHURCHILL against the Estate of JOHN KNOTT for the said sume with costs als Execution

      George Nott his will.
      In the name of God Amen, I George Nott of the County of Northumberland in Virginia being weak of body but of sound and perfect memory for which I praise Ahnighty God and knowing the certainty of death and the time and hour uncertain do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament. First I give and commend my soul unto the hands of almighty God hoping through the merits of Jesus Christ to receive remission of all my sins.
      Next I commit my body to the earth from whence it came and as touching such estate as God hath endowed me withall I do dispose thereofas followeth (vizt)
      First - I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Nott one cow called by the name of, "White Foot" and one hundred acres ofland out of the divident I now live on upon Yeocomoco River and that to be where I now live with all housing thereto belonging.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving son George Nott one cow called, "Motley" and one hundred acres of land next adjoining unto the land of Robert Sharpe deceased.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving son John Nott one heifer called, "Mullberry" and one hundred acres of land next adjoining unto the land of my wife Elizabeth Nott.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving son William Nott one heifer called, "Nansey" and also the first cow calf that falls from the cow called, "Motley" given to my son George Nott and one hundred acres of land next adjoining unto Francis Peale.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving daughter Ann Nott one great brass kettle.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving son George Nott my long gun and to my son John my muskett.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto Henry Lenton the son of Anthony Lenton my short gun.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving brother George Berry one cow calf.
      Item - I give and bequeath unto Thomas Hall (he to be bound by indenture or by order of court) one cow calf to be delivered for his use three years before the expiration of his freedom.
      All the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever my debts and legacies being paid I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Nott whom I do make my sole and lone executrix of this my last will revoking all former wills gifts and legacies whatsoever and ordaining this to stand for and as my last will and testament In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 18th of November 1655.

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I WM LANDMAN of the County of Rappa. in Virga Planter for and in consideracon of foure thousand three hundred pounds of Tobo and Caske to me in hand paid by ELIZA. MAN of the County of NORTHUMBERLAND. the receipt whereof I doe acknowledge have bargained sold the moyety and one halfe part of a tract of land Cont Eleaven hundred & forty acres formerly by me the said Landman & SAMUELL MAN purchased of EDWARD LEWIS and THOMAS ROBINSON Scituate lying and being in the County abovesd & on the Head of a Creeke called Totoskey the sd halfe parte being five hundred and 70 acres to be clearly and wholly the sd Eliza. Mann during her life time and after her decease to be Equally divided between JNO KNOTT and MARY MAN Daughter of the said Samuel Mann & Eliza man To Have and To Hold the said five hundred & 70 acres of land and furthermore I the said Landman doe oblidge my selfe to confirme this Instrumt: of Wrighting in the County Court of Rappa to be my lawfull act and deed. RODHAM KENNER and Mr. THOMAS BUSHROD take and they are hereby empowered to take the Estate of the said JANE into their possession until the next Court.
