Received this 19th day of April 1825 of J S Hopkins & James Green Executors of Isham Prewitt jr acct the Sum of Four hundred and twenty nine dollars in part of a mortgage given by Isham Prewitt sent to my father John B Latimer which mortgage was given on the 5th February 1805 for Two hundred and thirty four pounds one shilling and eight pence, which sum I have received in my own right as one heir of my said Father, as guardian for my Brother Isham another heir and as attorney in fact for my mother Peggy and Guardian for my Sister America Latimer who has intermarried with John Ward who in Conjunction with my mother have constituted me their Agent & Attorny by Deed dated 22nd day of June 1826 duly sealed and Certified.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that we Washington Latimer Silas Harlan and John Walker are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the penal sum of One thousand Dollars current money, to the payment of which well and truly to be made to the Commonwealth, we bind ourselves, our heirs, &c. jointly and severally, firmly by these presents; sealed with our seals, and dated this 5th day of Dec 1825.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Washington Latimer appointed Guardian to Isham Latimer orphan of John B Latimer Dec'd, by the county court of Mercer county. If, therefore, the said Washington Latimer shall diligently and faithfully collect, account for and pay to said Orphan all the estate which he now has or may hereafter be entitled to during his minority, or to such other person or persons as shall be entitled to receive the same, and shall regularly make up an account in his Guardianship at such time as he shall be thereto required by law, or by the said court, and shall in all particulars faithfully discharge his office as Guardian: Then this obligation to be void, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
