Charles County MD Will Book 1777-1780; Page 343. Alexander Hannan's Final Account. May 22, 1779.
The account of Thomas Rigg and Sarah, his wife, formerly Sarah Hannan, admors of Allixander Hannan, late of CC, deceased.
Debts include: the inventory of sd deceased's estate, exhibited into Orphan Court on May 5, 1778, amounting to 250 £15 shillings 9 pence; 9 £12 shillings money found in the deceased's house; money received of Elizabeth Crain, of Eleazer Davis, of Walter Pye, of Jezreel Penn, of Richard Boarm, of Robert Oakly; a crop of tobacco left by the deceased at the time of his death, being Jan, 1775. The whole amount: 397 £14 shillings 7-1/2 pence.
Disbursements went to Samuel Hanson per bond dated Dec 27, 1769; Robert King; Joseph Simms; John Hanson Jr; Joseph Edelin for rent, paid in the year 1755; Geo & Andrew Buchanan; William Hanson, late Sheriff, for levies and officers fees; Thomas Evans as per note assigned him by Mary Roberts; Robert and Monaca King, Executors at Benjamin King; Benjamin Philpot; Clerks Fees paid John Gwinn for Phillip Fendall; Craik and Jenifer; Doctor Thomas James; John Brooks; Daniel Jenifer for Letters; Walter Hanson, Register, for stating, passing, and recording this Account. Balance Accountable: 69 £18 shillings 6 pence.
Final Account: 397 £13 shillings 7-1/2 pence. Securities: Townly Maddox and Baker Howard of CC. Representatives: widow and 6 children, viz, William, 16 years old the last of last Feb, Mary Anne, 13 years old last Jan 5, Robert, 12 years old next Aug 17, Alexander, 10 years old last Jan 19. Barton, 7 years old last Dec 16, Townly, 5 years old last Mar 26.
