      1729-1748 Stafford County, Virginia Will Book M; [Antient Press]; Page 459-460 In Name of God Amen I MATTOX DERRICK of Stafford County being sick but of perfect sense .. do ordain this my Last Will and Testament Imprimis I commit my Soul into the hands of God .. I commit my Body to the Earth and as for such Estate .. I give in following manner. Item I give unto my Grandson THOMAS STRATTON my old Plantation with 150 acres of land my negro woman named Judy my Pistolls and holster, sword and cartouch box, one bed and furniture to him and his heirs forever. Item I give unto my Grandson WM. TURNER my Plantation whereon, I now live with 150 acres of land, one negro man named Robin, the bed and furniture that I lie on, one horse bridle and sadle to him and his heirs forever. Item I give unto my Grandson BENONI STRATTON JUNR. 125 acres of land to him and his heirs. Item I give unto my Grandson JOHN TURNER JUNIOR 125 acres of land, 1 bed and furniture to him and his heirs. Item My will is that after my Just Debts are paid that the rest of my Estate by equally divided between my grand children. I do appoint my two Son in Laws BENONI STRATTON and JOHN TURNER Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. I have set my hand this 3d day of January in the year 1745/6.
