THIS INDENTURE made this Tenth day of March 1777 Between JOHN MINOR and MARY his Wife of Parish of Bromfield and County of Culpeper of one part and BENJAMIN DOUGLAS of County of Fauquier Witnesseth that said John Minor and Mary his Wife for sum One hundred & Twenty one Pounds Virginia money hath granted unto sd Benjn. Douglas and his heirs a tract of land in Parish of Bromfield and County aforesd and bounded begining at three red oaks a Corner of THORNTONs thence so to two red oaks on the No. side POPS MOUNTAIN thence No. down a swamp thence with the swamp to two white oaks on the So. side the said Branch parallel with another Corner of Thorntons thence the said course continued along Thorntons line to the Begining containing one hundred and sixty four acres of land .
