      now wife Elizabeth, being at this time very sick and weak; if she dies, freeman John SUTTLE Jr, which now liveth with me, to remain and live on the plant. whereon my.family now liveth;
      sons William, John, Benjamin, and James;
      daus. Sarah and Elizabeth;
      Richard and James BUTLER to care for six children, but, in case Henry WOOD doth think fit to take son William, I desire he may have him, providing the said Henry will learn him the trade and calling of a plasterer;
      Richard BUTLER to take son John and daus. Sarah and Elizabeth;
      James BUTLER to take sons Benjamin and James until age 20.

      - HOAKINS bound to BARBER
      RICHARD BUTLER by his Petition setting forth that JOHN HOAKINS and ELIZABETH his Wife being lately deced., and at the time of their death left their two youngest Sons, BENJAMIN and JAMES, unto JAMES BUTLER, Brother to the Petitioner, and JAMES BUTLER being also lately deced., therefore prays that the two Children, BENJAMIN and JAMES, may be bound to him, &c. The Court on consideration thereof doe bind the two Children, BENJAMIN and JAMES, unto the Petitioner till they each of them arrive to the age of twenty one years, and order that RICHARD BUTLER, the Petitioner, doe teach the Children or cause them to be taught some handicraft trade and to read and write, and at the expiration of their servitude to pay and allow them in like manner as is appointed for Servants by Indenture or Custome, and that he give good security in the sum of twenty pounds Sterling for the-performance thereof. Whereupon JOHN WILLIS together with RICHARD BUTLER in open Court acknowledged themselves indebted unto the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices in the sum of twenty pounds Sterling, with condition that if RICHARD BUTLER shall well and truely comply with the abovesd. Order in all things relateing to the Orphans, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in force
