Son John Lewis-one warming pan which was his fathers, to be in full of his part of my whole estate for it hath pleased God to bless
him with a plentiful estate.

Grandaughter Ann Lewis, daughter of my son William Lewis dec'dmy largest gold ring and silver bodkin.

Sons John and Henry 800 acres of land to be divided between them where they are now seated; Henry my chest and wearing apparel; son Vincent plantation whereon I live and land in Horn Point, my long gun and hanger and a yoke of oxen. Also one-half of money of sloop the Outcry; Vincent to pay sons Thomas and Parish 2000 lbs. tobacco and to son Benjamin 2000 lbs. tobacco at age of 21 years; son James 2000 lbs. tobacco ; to daughters Mary, Susan, and Martha each a thomb ring; wife Susan residue of estate; Witnesses; William Gardner, John Williams, William More.

- ABR: SHEARES agt Widdow COURTNALL Whereas ABRAHAM SHEARES who marryed ELIZABETH, the Daughter of THOMAS BREWER, prayed Judgment to be possest of the land of GEORGE COURTNALL's he producing ye Last Will and Testament of GEORGE COURTNALL wherein the said GEORGE did devise unto his Sonne, GEORGE, all the lands he should dye seized of to him and his heyres for ever and if his said Sonne should fayle of haveing lawfull issue then he did devise the said lands unto ye said ELIZABETH and her assignes for ever; and whereas the said ABRAHAM SHEARES hath made it appeare to the Court that GEORGE COURTNALL, JUNR. is deceased without heyres and prayed to be possest according to the intent and purport of the said Will unto which, MARY, the late Widdow to the said GEORGE JUNR. by her Attorney did plead that by the Lawes of this Country the Widdow of the deceased ought to enjoy ye third of her deceased Husband's Estate and prayed that according to the Law she might be endowed with the thirds of her deceased Husband's land as well as
personall Estate. This Court haveing duly weighed die Pleas of both parties are of opinion and doe accordingly decree and order that the said MARY, late Widdow of GEORGE COURTNALL, JUNR. be endowed with ye thirds of her deceased Husband's lands according to the purport of that Law

Northumberland County Court May 18, 1694
Whereas JOHN LEWIS and MARY his wife Executrix of GEORGE COURTNELL, deceased, brought their action against ROGER WILLIAMS for eight hundred pounds of tobacco due by bill, and produced the same under the hand and seal of the said ROGER WILLIAMS, dated February 17, 1675 to which the Defendant pleaded the act of limitation, Notwithstanding which plea It is ordered he pay the said debt with costs unto the said LEWIS alias execution, Unless he appear next Court and show reasons to the contrary.

To brother Henry Garner my suit of duroys.
To my brother Parish Garner my new suit of druggett.
To my cozen Henry Garner a three year old heifer.
To my cozen Thomas Garner the son of Henry Garner a three year old heifer.
To my cozen Joseph Garner the son of John Garner a three year old heifer.
Unto my Godson Benjamin Walker a three year old heifer.

To my brother Thomas Garner my best gun and my best hatt.
I give my sister Mary Prise a looking glass.
