John and Dennis Conway, of Northumberland county, were brothers. John died in 1729, leaving a son, George (will, 1748), who married Ann, sister of Presley Thornton.
Dennis died in 1722 (will, 1720). Children: John (will, 1754), George, Dennis, Eliz, Winifred, Judith and Nancy. Of these; John had, among others, Winifred, who married Coles. Dennis (the constable, 1744) had a son, Thomas Conway, whose orphans, George, Chloe and Betty, were under the guardianship of Joseph Hubbard (and Joseph's sister, Betty, was the wife of Wm. Sanders).

on George Conway-plantation now in the possession of George Reeves, with all the lower part; of the neck as far as the mouth of "Long Neck Branch", thence with a straight line to the mouth of "Gayner Branch", to him and the heirs lawfully begotten of his body.
Son Dennis Conway-my now dwelling plantation.
Four daughters Eliz., Winnefred, Judith, and. Nanney-twelve thousand pounds of tobacco to he divided equally.
Wife Anne Conway-negro called Cupid to he and her heirs, with a servant named Patrick Mackinourn.
Wife Anne Conway-all the rest of my personal estate, and she
to be my executrix.
