      This Indenture made the tenth day of Aprill in the second yeare of the Dominion of Charles Absolute Lord & Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron of Baltemore &c Annoq Dom 1677 Betweene William Guyther of S.t Maryes County in the Province of Maryland on the One part and Robert Mason of the same County and Province of the other part Witnesseth That the said William Guither for and in Consideracon of Eight Thousand pounds of Good Tobacco & Caske to him in hand paid att & before the sealing & Delivery of these p.rsents by the said Robert Mason the Receipt whereof the said William Guyther doth hereby Acknowledge & himselfe therewith fully Satisfied Contented and paid And thereof & of Every part & parcell thereof doth hereby Absolutely & Clearly Exonerate Acquit & Discharge the said Robert Mason his heires Exec.rs Adm.rs & Assignes for Ever By these p.rsents hath Given Granted Bargained Aliened Sold Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these p.rsents doth fully Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Bargaine Sell Alien Enfeoffe & Confirme unto him the said Robert Mason his heires & Assignes for Ever All that parcell or Tract of Land Comonly Knowne by the name of Broad Neck in S.t Michaells hundred in the County aforesaid being bounded as Followes Beginning upon A point of the West side of Beaver Swampe from a Marked Hickory & Running upp the maine branch of said Swampe unto the Outward Line of the said William Guithers and Running North Along the said Outward Line to the head of the maine branch of the Muddy Pond and Downe the said Branch of the Muddy Pond unto A Marked Redd Oake & Running by the Muddy Pond from the Marked Redd Oake to the first mentioned Tree A Marked Hickory with Every part or parcell of Land that Lyes betwixt the Line of M.r Thomas Griffin & the line of M.rs Elizabeth Decost Contayneing & now laid out for Two hundred Acres more or Lesse Together with all & singuler the Rights & benefitts thereunto belonging orin anywise Concerning the premisses or any part or parcell of them with allhouses Edefices Buildings Orchards & Gardens whatsoever thereunto belonging with all and Singular the Rights Members Jurisdictions Priveledges Profitts or Benefitts appertaineing or belonging thereunto To have & to hold theSaid Tract or parcell of Land & all and Singuler the Bargained premisses unto him the said Robert Mason his heires and Assignes Against all manner ofpsonn or psonns whatsoever Claimeing by from & under him them & Every of them shall & will for Ever hereafter warrant & Defend him the said Robert Mason his heyres & Assignes Yeilding and payeing therefore Yearly unto the said William Guyther his heyres Exec.rs or Adm.rs Forty Dayes before or Forty dayes after the Nativity of Our Lord One barrell of Indian Corne And in Case said Rent be behind tenn dayes after the Afore Mentioned time of payment That then itt may and shall be lawfull to and for the said William Guyther his heyres Exec.rs Adm.rs and Assignes to Distraine upon the premisses In Witnesse whereof the partyes to these p.rsents have hereunto Interchangeably sett theire hands and fixed theire Seales the day and yeare Above written

      To all persons to whom these p.rsents shall Come I William Guyther of S.t Maryes County in the Province of Maryland send Greeting Know Yee that I the said W.m Guyther for and in Consideration of the Naturall Love Good will and affection w.ch I have & beare towards my loveing Brother Nicholas Guyther of the County aforesaid Planter As alsoe for diverse Other Good Causes & Consideracons me thereunto Moveing Have Given Granted & Confirmed & by these p.rsents doe Give Grant & Confirme unto the said Nicholas Guyther All that parcell of Land Called Popes Hogg penn Lyeing & being in the County aforesaid & now in the possession of the said Nicholas Beginning att A Hiccory by the Bay side neare A small stash & thence running into the Woods with a Line drawne South West & by South to A bounded White Oake in S.t Hollons Swampe thence with A line drawne West South West till itt intersect the North line of the land late of Cap.t William Hawley now in the possession of Me the said William Guyther thence bounding with the said North line for the Length of One hundred & sixty Perches till itt meet with A Branch from the Bay Side being on the North side of Popes Hogg Penn neck & thence running as the said Branch runneth into the said Bay & Soe bounding with the said Bay to the first bound Tree Containeing by Estimacon One hundred & Ninety Acres of Land be the same more or Lesse Together with all houses Edefices & buildings thereon Erected And alsoe all Rights profitts priveledges & appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the said parcell of Land & premisses with the appurtenances unto the said Nicholas Guyther his heyres & Assignes To his & theire owne proper use & behoofe for Ever freely peaceably & quietly without the Lett Suite interruption molestacon or Eviction of me the said William Guyther my heyres or Assignes And free & Cleare of all incumbrances whatsoever (the Rents & Services hereafter to become due to the Lord of the Fee of the premisses only Excepted & foreprized) soe that Neither I the said William Guyther nor my heyres or any other person or persons by Us for Us or in Our names or in the name Right or Head of any of Us att any time or times hereafter may aske Claime Challenge or Demand in or to the premisses or any part or parcell thereof any Estate Right Title or Interest but from all Accon of Right Estate Title Claime Interest & Demand of in or to the p.rmisses or any part or parcell thereof Wee & Every of Us to be utterly Excluded & for Ever debarred by these p.rsents And I the said W.m Guyther & my heyres the said Land & Premisses with the appurtenances unto the said Nicholas Guyther his heyres & Assignes to his & theire Owne proper use & uses in manner & forme afore specified against all psons Claimeing under me will warrant & Defend by these p.rsents In Wittnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & Seale the one & twentyeth day of June in the second yeare of the Dominion of Charles Lord Barron of Baltemore &c over Maryland Annoq Domi One Thousand six hundred Seaventy Seaven
