I am not related to any of these families, but notice a similarity of names and thought this might help someone. In the book "New Facts and Old Families - From the Records of Frederick County, Maryland" by Millard Milburn Rice is the following information:

In 1765 (Thomas) Thrasher sold to James Hook the 78 acres of Thrasher's Chance which lay north of the Harper's Ferry Road. The remainder.... was resurveyed for Thrasher in 1797 into one tract of 224 acres .... on which he was living at the time of his death in 1804."

A tract called 'Daniel's Diligence' was named for James Hook's son, Daniel, to whom he gave it in 1789. "In 1799 Daniel Hook sold his land to William Johnson and in a power of attorney executed in April, 1800, indicated his intention to move to Kentucky."
