Zachariah Beall's tombstone in Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Harmony, Iredell County, NC. records his linage:
Zachariah Beall
son of Samuel Beall, Sr.
son of Ninian Beall, Jr.,
son of Ninian Beall Sr. of Scotland.
Zach's stone is right beside Rebecca Beall's [his wife] tombstone, I have photos.
was fortunate to meet two fine people, Dr. Curtis Abell and his wife Pat Abell who live close to Harmony, Iredell County, North Carolina and they agreed to go to the Mt. Bethel Methodist Cemetery and take photos of the graves of our forefathers.
The Beall's and Gaither's moved to North Carolina from Maryland in the early 1800's for religious freedom. Zachiariah Beall and his wife Rebecca Tyson Beall traveled horseback with several of their children down along the trail at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains along an ancient Indian Trail now known as Interstate 81 and settled in an area occupied by Cherokee Indians.
Dr. Drucilla Beall Gaither and two of her brothers were doctors... there's more that Eva Gaither Thornbury has shared with me that I'll get to later... but with without further ado... here's the key to the proof of our linage!

The origional plaque that was on the back of Zachariah's tombstone was removed and copied when it was encased in another stone to prevent further crumbling of his origional headstone.
The only William Beall that I know of in this family is the William Beall that married Ninian Beall, Jr.'s widow.
