      At the request of Susanah Lomax, the following power of attorney was recorded Mar 7, 1729.
      We, James Cashe and Mary, his wife, of Westmoreland County, Virginia, for sundry good causes, appointed our trusty friend Benjamin Posey of CC, our true and lawful attorney, to lease unto Susanah Lomax all that part of that tract of land in CC called Promise that has not been formerly sold to John Ralley, during the term until Thomas Ashman, son to sd Mary Cash, arrives to the age of 21 years. The yearly rent is 3 ears of Indian corn. Signed Feb 7, 1729 - James (X his mark) Cash, Marys (X her mark) Cash. Wit - John Hamill, Jno McNeill, Gust Brown*, Benja Fendall*.

      Feb 12, 1729 from Benjamin Posey of CC, carpenter, to Susanah Lomax of CC, spinster, for divers good causes and by virtue of a power of attorney to him directed from James Cash and Mary, his wife, of Westmoreland County, Virginia, the lease of all that part of that tract'of land called Promise that has not been sold to John Railey. The land is at the head of Popes Cr in CC. To have and to hold, from today until Thomas Ashman, son to the above mentioned Mary Cash arrives at the age of 21 years, paying a yearly rent of 3 ears of Indian corn. Also, one other tract of land called Ashmans Purchase, lying in the Parish and County last afd, bounded by the tract called Promise, thence to Marshall, Pope, containing and now laid out for about 41 acres.
