      In the name of God Amen; I William Locke of the county of Mercer of state of Kentucky, being in a licke and in a low state of health, but of a perfict mind and memorey do constistue and ardane this to be my last will and testament, and first of all I resign my body to the grownd and then my sole to God who gave it to hopes of a further happines through merits of the redeamerand as tuching the wroldly estate which has please God to bless me with, i do dispose of as fallows (vis) first I give to my beloved wife, Elizebeth Locke the tracke of land whereon I now live and then I give to my daughter Polly Locke one negrow garl named Lillah and also I do give two other negrows to my wife the name of Peg and July, and also I do give to my daughter polly one bond to the amount of one hundred and Sixty dallors which bond is now in the hands of my brother Frank to collect and for the money to be put to the use of buying of her a negrow garl and also I do give to my wife one resting cheare and as for all my house hold furniture and all my plantation tules together with my stocke of all kinds I wish to continue in the hands of my wife for the support of her and my daughter until my daughter shal come of age and then for to be equaly devided between them and I also give to John Gibson my sattle together with all my warring clothes and also I give to my wife one rifle gun and finally I do appoint my wife Elizabeth and John Marshal exector of this my last will and testament disalowing all former wills made by me and conferming this to be my last in witness whare of I have here unto let my hand and seall William Locke Teste George Robinson John Jones Mercer fet.
