I found this in the Archives of Maryland. Is this the same John Watson? Have I found our Jane--which you may have already knew?

It seems to me all of the confusion stems from "Jane wife of John Watson". First, the estimates I've seen for the ages/deaths of John Waughops children are such that Jane Mackall couldn't be their mother. She was still single (or at any rate without issue) 30 Sep 1675 when her father wrote his will.
Henry Hyde wrote his will 29 Oct 1675--about a month later and mentioned a gift to his daughter Anne from her grandparents "John and Joan Waughop". So, why does anyone give Jane Mackall as the wife of John Waughop? Including me, if I've ever said that! Especially with a prior husband?

The first mention of "Jane wife of John Watson" is the 1684 item as exec of George Mackall. So, Jane Mackall was not Jane the wife of Thomas Spinke in 1690, because she is mentioned again in 1695 as the exec for George and the wife of John Watson. Jane as a wife of John Watson is mentioned:
1684 Inventory of George Mackall (why did he need three inventories?). 1695 (but undated) Accounting of George Mackall, in this line which usually means the "unadministering" person is dead. "Administratrix: Hanah Clarke, wife of Philip Clarke. Estate was unadministered by executrices Anne wife of Robert Graham and Jane wife of John Watson."
4 Oct 1695 Accounting for Jane Payne in this line "Executrix: Jane Wattson (executrix of Thomas Spink (executor of deceased), now wife of John Wattson."
Those last two items were for persons who died 20 years before. Are these items done to bring closure to two probates that were not fully administered by a Jane Watson, at least one of whom was dead? I think so. Who were they?
Well, the dates don't work for it to be one--Jane Mackall who married John Watson and have her be the Jane who married Thomas Spinke, too. So, did John Watson marry at the least, two Janes? He wouldn't have to worry about calling the wrong name to get his dinner ready.
