      May 15, 1750 from John Wathen of CC, planter, to Robert Horner of CC, merchant, for 12,000 lbs tobacco and for divers other good causes, a tract of land in CC called St Thomas, bounded by a bound tree of Westwood standing near the Welchmans Pond, containing and laid out for about 116 acres. If, however, Wathen pays Horner the 12,000 lbs tobacco by May 19, 1753 with legal interest, [then this deed to be void]. Wathen shall finish the crop of tobacco or corn he has now on the ground. The lease starts today and is for 21 years or her life thence next to be complete and ended.
