William Marshall I, died in 1673. He had at least 3 children:
Joshua Marshall, who owned land in Charles County, Maryland.
William Marshall II, who died in 1698
Elizabeth Marshall, who owned land in St. Marys Co, MD
Identification of Elizabeth Marshall as the wife of John Hawkins lies in the following land record showing them selling land she inherited from her father.
6 June 1696; from John Hawkins, planter, to Thomas Hutchison, merchant of St. Mary's Co.; tract called Two Friends formerly in St. Mary's Co; laid out for 525 Acres; ack John and Elizabeth Hawkins (CCLR Q.87)
20 Jan 1699; From John Hawkins of Prince George's County, Gent, and Elizabeth his wife to Richard Edelin of Charles Co.; 100 acres Thomas's Chance on Piscataway Run in PGco; ack 26 Jan by Elizabeth Hawkins.
19 Feb 1699; From Francis Marbury of Prince George's Co. planter and Mary his wife to John Hawkins of Prince George's Co. 1/2 of Thomas' Chance containing 100 acres. (PGLR A.307)

The other two executors of his will were Thomas Notley (1634-1679) who was the father of Mary Notley who married Benjamin Rozer; and Robert Henley (abt1617-1684) who married Sarah Bachelor (abt 1627-bef Feb 1683) and whose daughter, Charity married (1) John Courts and (2) John Contee.

To child(ren) residue of estate equally.
To Son Joshua, Cattle mark, obtained by marriage of testator with Katherine EBDEN [sic; Hebden]. In event of death of any child under age, or without issue, survivors to inherit deceased's portion, and all dying without issue, estate to be used fro benefit of poor of Chas County.
