THIS INDENTURE made the third of April in the year of our Lord 1693 & in the Fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord and Lady King William and Queen Mary Between WM. YATES & JANE his Wife of County of Richmond of the one part and DAVID DARNELL of the same County Witnesseth that we the said WM: & JANE his Wife do for themselves their heirs do sell unto the said DAVID DARNELL his heirs & assigns all their right title & interest of one part or parcell of Land containing One hundred acres of Land or thereabouts being in the County aforesaid on the North side of the River and in the Freshes thereof, being part of a parcell of Land formerly purchased of Mr. JOHN and GEORGE MOTT and from them sold unto Mr. WILLIAM MOSELEY and by him to Mr. ANDREW BUCKNER and from the said BUCKNER to Mr. ABRAHAM KENYON, the whole tract according to a late Survey by Capt. WILLIAM MOSELEY containing Sixteen hundred eight acres of Land. Now Know ye that we the said WILLIAM and JANE YATES for a valuable consideration already received have sold to the said DAVID DARNELL or his heirs as aforesaid One hundred acres of Land being as aforesaid in the County aforesaid and bounded beginning at a Beach & so running back to the Extent of the said YATES his back line and bounded on the upper side with Mr. BALLs Line of marked trees and the said Beech marked upon the River, the upper side of a Branch betwixt the said YATES and DARNELL & so up the River right against MASSACOON CREEKs Mouth to the said DARNELL his heirs & assigns forever and that we the said YATES and his Wife will at all times hereafter defend and warrant this their Deed to be lawful and good against all persons whatsoever for or under them from claiming any lawfull claim to any part thereof, And they do further agree with the said DARNELL for themselves their heirs that the said DARNELL shall at all times hereafter enjoy & possess the same with all the rights and priviledges therein belonging with all woods and waters to the use of him his heirs forever without molestation of them In Witness whereof the aforesaid WM. & JANE YATES have hereunto set their hands and Seales
