THIS INDENTURE made this 19th day of October one thousand seven hundred & Eighty nine Between JOSEPH RUCKER of Culpeper County of one part and WILLIAM CRAWFORD of said County of other part; Witnesseth that JOSEPH RUCKER in consideration of Five shillings current money to him in hand paid; by these presents doth bargain & sell unto WILLIAM CRAWFORD his heirs one certain tract of Lsnd containing by estimation Ten acres be the same more or less lying in County of Culpeper & bounded by the RAPADAN RIVER, the hds of GEORGE RUCKER ad the Lands of said WILLIAM CRAWFORD, which hds has been for several years in the possession
of said WILLIAM CRAWFORD and was formerly possest by HONOURS POWEL decest Together with all ways waters with all rents profits aad advantages; To have & to hold
the land & premises unto WILLIAM CRAWFORD his heirs; And JOSEPH RUCKER doth oblige himself & his heirs to warrant & defend the right & title of said tract of land unto
WILLIAM CRAWFORD his heirs against the claims of dl persons; In Witness whereof the said JOSEPH RUCKER htrth hereunto set his haad & affixed his sed the day & year first above written
