      THIS INDENTURE made the twenty second day of February 1734 Between JOHN PAGE of the County of Essex and Parish of Southfarnham of one part and JAMES JONES of same Witnesseth that sd John Page for the sum Forty five pounds Curt. money of Virg& he doth grant unto sd James Jones his heirs forever all that land and plantation whereon sd John Page now dwells being the land and plantation which THOMAS BRYAN late of the abovesd County decd died seized off, and now in the possession of the aforesd John Page containing One hundred and seventy acres of land being in the County and Parish aforesd and bounded beginning at the mouth of a small branch that divides the land whereon sd John Page now dwells (which is hereby intended to be sold to aforesd James Jones) and the land & Plantation belonging to the aforesd John Page commonly called by the name of SAVAGES PLANTATION and so runing up a line of marked trees near the middle of the sd branch up to the back line that divides the land of sd John Page (hereby intended to be sold) and the land of CHARLES BREEDLOVE and so up the sd line near the plantation of DANIEL TAYLOR commonly called the Deep Swamp which sd Swamp divided this aforesd land and the land which John Page lately sold to sd Daniel Taylor and so down the watercourse of the sd Swamp to the lower line of this aforesd land which divides the same from the land where JOHN HARDEE and ELIZABETH SPIERS now dwells which did formerly belong to WILLIAM HUDSON JR. and so down the line to a small white oak standing on a hill side near the sd Pages Spring Branch and from thence down a line of marked trees to a Run called COVINGSTON'S MILL RUN to the Mouth of the branch first above mentioned to the
      first beginning . .

      John Page acknowledged this Deed of Feofment indented with Livery and Seizin thereon endorsed to be his act and deed which on motion of the sd James is admitted to record. KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I John Page am bound unto James Jones in the sum of Two hundred pounds Curt. money of Virginia this 22nd day of February 1734. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the said John Page shall in all things fulfill all covenants mentioned in Indenture and also that sd John Page do truely warrant the abovesd land and for ever the same defend that then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain.

      THIS INDENTURE made this 14th and 15th day of October 1737 Between JAMES JONES of the Parish of Southfarnham in the County of Essex of one part and JOHN TRIBLE & WILLIAM TRIBLE of the County and Parish aforesaid Witnesseth that the said James Jones for sum of Forty five pounds Currt. money of Virga. paid by said John Trible & William Trible he the said James Jones doth acknowledge himself paid and hath released unto the said John Trible & William Trible and to their heirs and assigns a certaine tract of land in the aforesaid Parish and County containing One hundred and Seventy acres of land bounded Beginning at the mouth of a branch that runs into Covingtons Mill Swamp so up the said branch along a line of markt trees to the back line that divides this land from the land of CHARLES BREEDLOVE so along the said back line ye several courses thereof till it comes down to a branch that divides this land from land of JOHN HARDEE (formerly HUDSONs) so along said line of Covingtons Swamp then up the Swamp to the beginning being all the land which said James Jones purchased of JOHN PAGE all which premises now in the actual possession of them the said John Trible and William by Indenture of bargain and Sale and force of Statute 'for Transferring uses into possession . .

      THIS INDENTURE made this tenth day of April in the year one thousand seven hundred and Thirty nine Between BEN JOHNSON and MARY JOHNSON Wife of the said BEN JOHNSON of the County of Essex and Parish of Southfarnham of the one part and JAMES JONES of the same County and Parish of other part Witnesseth that said BEN JOHNSON and MARY JOHNSON his said Wife for the sum of One hundred and twenty five pounds Current money of Virginia hath granted unto the said JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns for Ever two hundred acres of land and Marshes more or less included in the bound hereafter mentioned (Viz) Begining at the Mouth of a small Creek or Gutt runing or leading into PISCATAWAY CREEK by and near to a steep bank at the lover end of a NECK of land called and known by the name of APPLETREE NECK, and so runing up the said Creek or Gutt the water course thereof as far as the said water Course is perceivable and thence from the head of the said Creek or Gutt through the Marsh a strait Course as near as can bee through the middle of the said Marsh until it comes to the mouth of a branch that leads into the said Marsh and down the said Marsh into the aforesaid Creek or Gutt thence up the said branch the water Course thereof until it comes to a small Gum Standing by the Water Course of the said Branch and by and near the head of the said Branch then the said Course alters and leaves the said Branch and gos up a small hill to a marked white oak and a Strait Course continued towards the line that divides the said land from the land of Mr. JOHN EVANS JUNR. (formerly WILLIAM HUDSON's) until the said line comes to a marked tawl Pine so from the said Pine the said Strait Course still continued til it comes up to the aforesaid EVANs's line formerly HUDSONs to a red oak Corner tree standing in the said EVANS's line, so along the said old line down towards PISCATAWAY CREEK, the said old line was the line between Capt. WILLIAM JOHNSON deced and WILLIAM HUDSON and so down the aforesaid old line, which said Corner tree is made for a Corner tree now between the said JOHN EVANS JUNR. and the said JAMES JONES, the last mentioned red oak Corner tree being about twenty five feet forward towards PISCATAWAY CREEK from an old Hickory marked and standing as a line tree in the old line between said Capt. JOHNSON & WILLIAM HUDSON deced continued along a line of marked trees made between the said JAMES JONES and the said JOHN EVANS JUNR. until it comes down to a Stooping Spanish oak Standing in the said Marsh by PISCATAWAY CREEK side and near to a small Butt Mouth that leads into the said PISCATAWAY CREEK the several courses until it comes to the first begining place including the MARSH called or known by the GREAT NECK MARSH and also sundry other Marshes, To Have and To Hold the said Two hundred acres of land and Marshes unto said JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns forever.       THIS INDENTURE made the XIth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Forty three Between THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH MOORE, Wife of the said THOMAS MOORE, of the County of Essex and Parish of SOUTHFARNHAM of the one part and JAMES JONES of the County and Parish aforesaid of the other part; Witnesseth that the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife for the summ of Sixty six pounds current money of Virginia hall granted unto the abovesaid JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns forever all that parcel of Land containing One hundred acres more or less which included the bounds hereafter mentioned and lying and being on the South side of a Road leading from PISCATTAWAY FERRY to the UPPER CHURCH in the aforesaid Parish of SOUTHFARNHAM, and some part of the said Land lies on the South side of a Road leading out of the aforesaid FERRY ROAD to PISCATAWAY OLD MILL BRIDGE being the Land and Plantation whereon the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife formerly dwelt and left to the said ELIZABETH by her Father, RICHARD GRIGORY deced., by his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date on or about the 17th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred recourse thereunto being had more plainly and at large will appear, being the Land and Plantation whereon AUSTINE PASSONS now dwells, the said Land is bounded, Begining at a large white Oak standing near the sd. Road that leads to PISCATTAWAY OLD MILL BRIDGE so along a line of marked trees down to a Marsh side on the North side of PISCATTAWAY CREEK, being the old ancient and reputed bounds between the said Land and the land of ST. JOHN's now GATEWOOD's, so along the said Marsh side to the mouth of a Branch runing into PISCATTAWAY CREEK, then up the sd. Branch the water courses thereof up to the head of the same near to the said PISCATTAWAY FERRY ROAD, thence from the head of the said Branch along a line of marked trees to the aforesaid FERRY ROAD so oup the same and the said Road that leads to PISCATTAWAY OLD MILL BRIDGE 'til it comes to the said beginning white Oak tree; To have and to hold the abovesaid one hundred acres of Land and every part and parcel thereof unto the said JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns forever, together with all houses, orchards, trees, water courses and all profits and advantages thereunto belonging; And the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife for themselves their heirs doth covenant with the said JAMES JONES his heirs that he for ever shall peaceably and quietly have all the said Land in the bounds aforesaid and all the premisses and they the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife will warrant and forever defend the abovesaid Land all and singular their right to all the Lands and Tenements with the appurtenances whatsoever that is lieing and being on the South side of the said Road that leads from PISCATTAWAY FERRY to the sd UPPER CHURCH in the Parish aforesaid which formerly did belong to the sd. RICHARD GRIGORY, Father of the sd. ELIZABETH MOORE, and the said THOMAS MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife doth thereby also agree with the said JAMES JONES that they will at all times make all such further act and acts for the better conveying the said Land and premisses that he the said JAMES JONES his heirs or assigns shall at any time require; In Witness whereof the sd. parties have set their hands and seals

      THIS INDENTURE made the fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty three Between BEN JOHNSON and MARY his Wife of the County of Essex and the Parish of SOUTHFARNHAM of the one part and JAMES JONES of the same County and Parish of the other part; Witnesseth that the said BEN JOHNSON and MARY his Wife for One hundred and twenty five pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid hath granted unto the said JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns forever Two hundred acres of High Land and Marshes more or less included in the bounds hereafter mentioned; Begining at the mouth of a small Creek or guts runing or leading into PISCATAWAY CREEK by and near to a steep bank at the lower end of a Neck of Land called by the name of the APPLE TREE NECK so running up the said Creek or Gutt the water course thereof as far as the said Water Course is perceivalbe and then from the head of the said Creek or Gutt through the Marsh a strait course as near as can be through the middle of the said Marsh untill it comes to the mouth of a Branch that leads into the said Marsh and down the said Marsh into the aforesaid Creek or Gutt, thence up the said Branch the water course thereof until it comes to a small Gum standing by the water Course of the said Branch and by and near the head of the said Branch, then the said Course alters and leaves the said Branch and goes up a small hill to a marked white Oak and strait course continued towards the line that divides the said Land from the Land of Mr. THOMAS EDMONDSON JUNR., formerly EVANS's, until the said line comes to a marked tawl Pine so from the said Pine the said strait course still continued 'til it. comes up to the said EDMONDSONs line formerly EVANS's to a red Oak, corner tree standing in the said EDMONDSONs line, so along the said old line down towards PISCATAWAY CREEK the said old line was between Capt. WILLIAM JOHNSON deceased and WILLIAM HUDSON deceased, and down the aforesaid line untill it comes to an other red Oak, corner tree standing in the said old line which said Corner tree was marked for a Corner tree between the said JAMES JONES and JOHN EVANS JUNR., the last mentioned red Oak corner tree being about twenty five feet forward towards PISCATAWAY from an old Hickory marked & standing as a line tree in the said old line between the said JOHNSON deced., and HUDSON deced., thence from the said red Oak corner tree a North Easterly course along a line of marked trees till it comes to a stooping Spanish Oak standing near to a marsh side, thence from the said Spanish Oak the same course through the said Marsh to a Stake standing in the Marsh by PISCATTAWAY CREEK side and near to a small Gutts mouth, thence down the said PISCATTAWAY CREEK the several courses thereof untill it comes to the first beginning place including the Great Marsh called the GREAT NECK MARSH and several other Marshes, it being the same Land and Marshes purchased by the said JAMES JONES of the said BEN JOHNSON and MARY his Wife by their Deed bearing date on or about the tenth day of April one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine; And all all reversions rents and services thereof and Estate right of them the said BEN JOHNSON and MARY his Wife in the said Two hundred acres of Land and Marshes; To have and to hold with all houses orchards fences timber and also all profits unto the said JAMES JONES his heirs and assigns to forever occupy and enjoy without the trouble of them the said BEN JOHNSON and MARY his Wife their heirs or assigns or any other persons whatsoever; In Witness whereof the said BEN JOHNSON and MARY his Wife have hereunto set their hands and seals

      THIS INDENTURE made the xvth, day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine Between JOHN EVANS JUNIOR of the County of Essex and Parish of South Farnham of the one part and JAMES JONES of the same County and Parish of the other part; Witnesseth that JOHN EVANS JUNIOR for the sum of One hundred pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by JAMES JONES, by these presents doth bargain sell release and confirm unto JAMES JONES his heirs one tract of land lying in the the County and Parish aforesaid adjoyning to PISCATTAWAY FERRY and containing by estimation One hundred and Twenty acres of High Land besides Marshes more or less in the bounds, Beginning at a marked red Oak with an old broken topp standing near COVINGTONs OLD MILL CREEK (now WEBBs MILL CREEK) runing thence to a marked Hickory and from thence to several marked trees standing in a line till it comes to a large Popplar in the Old Field between the said EVANS's and the land formerly ANDERSONs, thence from the said Popplar the same course continued to a marked Walnut treet and from thence to the Land of Mr. JAMES WEBB, and so to PISCATTAWAY CREEK, and up the said PISCATTAWAY CREEK the several! courses thereof till it comes to the mouth of COVINGTONs OLD MILL CREEK (now WEBBs MILL CREEK as aforesaid) so up the said MILL CREEK the severall courses to the beginning, being the land and plantattion whereon the said JOHN EVANS JUNIOR now dwells and that did formerly belong to one ROBERT GRAVES; To have and to hold the Land and Plantation and Marshes thereunto adjoyning with all houses orchards timber trees and trees likely to become timber and all manner of profitts priviledges and advantages unto JAMES JONES his heirs according to the Antient and respected bounds of the said One hundred and Twenty acres or land more or less and the Marshes thereunto ad-joyning; And the said JOHN EVANS JUNIOR doth further covenant and agree to and with the said JAMES JONES that.
