Northumberland County Court February 17, 1698
WILLIAM HARVY Orphan of WILLIAM HARVY deceased is by the Court bound an Apprentice to serve JAMES JOHNSON or his assignees until he attains the age of one and twenty years, the said Mr. JOHNSON having in Court Assumed to give the said WILLIAM two years of Schooling after twelve years of age or Else pay him at the expiration of the said term five thousand pounds of Tobacco and also to bring him up in Christian like manner.

TRAVERS ag't the Estate of WILLIAM HARVEY [sic] for Nine hundred Eighty Eight pounds of Tobacco and Casq' due proportioned to him out of his Claime of Eleven hundred thirty Eight pounds of Tobacco due to him from the said HARVIE in his life time five hundred and thirty pounds of tob'o in the hands of DAVID STRAUGHAN belonging to the s'd Estate and four hundred fifty Eight pounds of Tobacco in the hands of M'r JOHN CRALLE being in all the sum'e of Nine hundred Eighty Eight pounds of Tobacco and Ordered that the said STRAUGHAN and CRALLE pay the said two severall sum'es unto the said TRAVERS al's Ex'o.
